The tradition that on the day of St. Juraj is opening the city to its inhabitants and visitors, it is linked to the history of our town. According to City Privileges, on April 24th, the bourgeoisie was able to freely vote for the richtar and his deputies from the 13th century. It was an important and unique privilege all over Europe for those times. It blended with celebrations, but also with informal meetings of city hall representatives with the people of the royal city.
